Ingredients
- 1 box 3 lb box Washing Soda (3 - 4 lb box)
- 1 box Baking Soda (3 - 4 lb box)
- 16 oz castile soap bar (4 bars 4oz of Kirk's Original Coco Castile Soap)
- 48 oz Sodium Percarbonate (3 lb Oxiclean free)
Instructions
Grate the soap up. Mix everything together. Add essential oils if desired. 1 tbsp per normal load. Most fill machines to the max. Use 2 tbsp generally.
Adding Essential Oil
50 drops (1 tsp) - 100 drops (2 tsp) of essential oil per batch.
Additions
Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, & other Citrus essential oil (EO): Great for brightening and degreasing.
Eucalyptus essential oil (EO): great for covering powerful smells, helping to breath easier.
Peppermint essential oil (EO): Cool, energizing, helps neutralize odors in workout gear.
Rosemary essential oil (EO): Helps combat musty smells, good for towels.
Use With Caution
Epsom Salts - this will make hard water worse and makes clothes stiff. Salt does not soften the clothes. It actually destroys the fibers.
Zote & Fels Naptha both have a low health rating score.
Scent crystals are toxic to you and the environment.
